I’m done with the pros of MailChimp’s service. Now, coming to the cons of MailChimp’s Cons
The Cons: Mailchimp’s Review
Limited free version
Although It’s free up to 2000 subscribers but still you need to pay for a lot more for some regular features. Even Auto-Responder feature is not available for free version.
Transferring Lists Requires Re-Opt-In Process – Some users have complained that when transferring a list into or out of MailChimp, you need to go through their opt-in process.
Complicated: MailChimps has plenty of good features which is great. Although they offer several templates for you to use, the multiple features may be overwhelming. But, it can be little tricky if you have little experience with design.
It’s Actually Not cheap: I know Mailchimp gives you free services. But, after the limit you’ve to pay a lot more bucks. It’s expensive as compared to their competitor i.e Aweber. Here is the price list of MailChimp.
Conclusion– MailChimp is an excellent service if you are starting out or out of the budget. I myself using Mailchimp on shouterbuzz & I’m pretty much satisfied with their performance since, I’m getting a lot for nothing 🙂
The survey conducted by Capterra found that Mailchimp has an edge over it’s another competitor –Constant Contact.
If you’ve got a budget, then I would prefer going with Aweber. However, if you have hadn’t the budget then, Mailchimp would be my first ‘go to’ choice.
Join & Enjoy!
